Why did I start meditating?

Because I have climbed my first mountain, I have a family and two beautiful girls; I spent more than 25 years working in the pharmacy world, traveled the world, bought a house, and then another.

Because I did what most people are supposed to, but I still felt something was missing.

I looked around in my outer world and noticed nothing was missing there. I had and still have everything I need and more.

So where was the lack, you might ask?

The only place left to look was inside me.

That’s when the search began.

First, with a question thrown out into the universe.

What am I missing?

Followed by another question.

What do I need to feel at peace?

And another question.

What am I looking for?

The more questions I asked, the more questions I had. I was lost. Except, I went on a holiday, and as I was lounging by the pool, I came across an article in the Guardian newspaper (you see, back then, I was still reading the e-paper). Someone shared how training to become a life coach completely changed her life.

I didn’t know what a life coach was back in 2014. Nonetheless, I felt a strong impulse to look into it once I returned from my holiday.

This is how my inner work journey started. I trained as a life coach, then as a deep transformational coach, followed by meditation coaching training. Recently I started a new course, “Alchemy through Ayurveda.”

Today I’m so grateful for the knowledge channeled towards me through books, teachers, mentors, and courses.

Meditation is my peaceful oasis. It’s my place to relax, let go, ponder, contemplate, and cultivate self-love and self-compassion.

If you are still reading, perhaps you are also ready to climb your second mountain and do the inner work.
